'Pighalta Aasman' is the story of Delhi-based businesswoman Arti Singh Rathod (Rakhee), who lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her grand-mother and friend and employee, Anuradha (Rati Agnihotri). She decides to travel to Kashmir and takepossession of a piece of land that is being occupied by Suraj Arora (Shashi Kapoor). Once in Kashmir, Suraj and Arti fall in love with each other. Soon Arti finds out that Anuradha, too, is in love with Suraj, and how the situation creates complications and awkwardness between the two is the crux of the film.
