Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was last seen playing Ranbir Kapoor’s lover in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, became the latest victim of a hoax, when it was widely reported that she attempted to commit suicide following stress in her family life.
Reports claimed on Sunday that Aishwarya had taken an overdose of tranquillizers following constant ‘family quarrels’ over her steamy photo shoot with ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-star Ranbir Kapoor. The reports added that her alleged suicide attempt and subsequent death was hushed up by the family.Needless to say, this created quite an uproar as bloggers went overboard with the news. However, the rumours were only punctured when the light-eyed beauty was spotted at a party thrown by celebrity designer Manish Malhotra late on Sunday.
Earlier, Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khuranna, Dilip Kumar, Honey Singh, Rajinikanth and Lata Mangeshkar have suffered rumours of similar death hoax online.
