वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने भारत के मंदी के चंगुल में फंसने के आशंकाओं को खारिज करते हुए सोमवार को कहा कि कोविड महामारी, रूस-यूक्रेन जंग और आपूर्ति श्रृंखला में आने वाली बाधाओं के बावजूद भारत दुनिया में सबसे तेजी से बढ़ती हुई अर्थव्यवस्था बनी है. उन्होंने कहा कि खुदरा मुद्रास्फीति को सात फीसदी से नीचे लाने की कोशिश की जा रही है. लोकसभा में महंगाई के विषय पर सोमवार को हुई चर्चा का जवाब देते हुए सीतारमण ने कहा कि मुश्किल दौर में पूरा मुल्क एक होकर खड़ा हुआ और यही वजह है कि आज हम बाकी दुनिया के मुकाबले मजबूत स्थिति में हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि इसका क्रेडिट जनता को दिया जाना चाहिए.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday that India has become the fastest growing economy in the world despite the covid epidemic, Russia-Ukraine war and supply chain disruptions. He said that efforts are being made to bring down retail inflation below 7 % .Responding to the discussion on inflation in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Sitharaman said that the whole country stood united in difficult times and that is why today we are in a stronger position than the rest of the world. He said that its credit should be given to the public.
