Lala Fast Food, popularly known as Mohanbhai Pudlawala is one of the most iconic places in Mumbai. The shop was started in 1968 in Zaveri Bazar, by Mohanbhai. He started out with a small stall where he made pudlas — a Gujarati snack made of besan and topped with vegetables. Today, he runs a runs a shop at the same spot with his son serving new variety of the pudla — with grated cheese, toasted bread and tomatoes. Pudlas are served with generous amount of pudina, imli and garlic chutney making it taste even better.
