राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (एनसीपी) ने शिंदे-फडणवीस सरकार में मंत्री पद की शपथ लेने वाले अजित पवार सहित नौ बागी विधायकों को 'पार्टी विरोधी गतिविधियों में शामिल होने' के लिए अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया।
अजित पवार और छगन भुजबल के साथ दिलीप पाटिल, हसन मुश्रीफ, धनंजय मुंडो, धर्मरावबाबा अत्राम, अदिति तटकरे, संजय बंसोडे और अनिल पाटिल रविवार को एकनाथ शिंदे-देवेंद्र फड़नवीस के नेतृत्व वाली महाराष्ट्र सरकार में शामिल हो गए। अपने भतीजे और पार्टी के आठ अन्य नेताओं के बगावत कर महाराष्ट्र में शिवसेना-भाजपा सरकार में शामिल होने के बाद पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए शरद पवार ने कहा कि जो कुछ हुआ उसे लेकर वह चिंतित नहीं हैं और पार्टी को फिर से मजबूत करने के लिए काम करेंगे। शरद पवार ने कहा, "यह 'गुगली' नहीं है, यह डकैती है। यह छोटी बात नहीं है।"

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) disqualified nine rebel MLAs including Ajit Pawar who were sworn in as ministers in the Shinde-Fadnavis government 'for indulging in anti-party activities'.
Ajit Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal along with Dilip Patil, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Mundo, Dharmaraobaba Atram, Aditi Tatkare, Sanjay Bansode, and Anil Patil joined Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis-led Maharashtra government on Sunday. Talking to reporters after his nephew and eight other party leaders rebelled and joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar said he was not worried about what happened and will work to strengthen the party again. "This is not 'googly', it is a robbery. It is not a small thing," Sharad Pawar said.
