पुणे में एक उद्योगपति के घर पर अजित पवार के चाचा शरद पवार से मुलाकात के कुछ दिनों बाद महाराष्ट्र की राजनीति में एक नए गठबंधन को लेकर राजनीतिक अटकलें शुरू हो गईं, राज्य के एक पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री, एक कांग्रेस नेता ने दावा किया कि अजित पवार अपने चाचा के पास दो विशिष्ट प्रस्तावों के साथ आए थे। एक, शरद पवार को केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल में कृषि मंत्री के रूप में शामिल किया जाएगा, यूपीए के दौरान वरिष्ठ पवार के पद पर या नीति आयोग के अध्यक्ष के रूप में एक पद पर। दो, शरद पवार की बेटी सुप्रिया सुले को केंद्र में और जयंत पाटिल को राज्य में जगह दी जाएगी। इस पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए बुधवार को उद्धव बालासाहेब सेना के नेता संजय राउत ने कहा कि अजित पवार इतने बड़े नेता नहीं हैं कि वह शरद पवार को ऑफर दे सकें।

Two, Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule will be accommodated at the Centre, and Jayant Patil in the state. Reacting to this, Uddhav Balasaheb Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said Ajit Pawar is not that a big leader that he can make an offer to Sharad Pawar.
