Ye film South ki arjun reddy ki remake hai jo maine nahi dekhi hai so I don’t have anything to compare it with. Kabir Singh is a bright medical student with major anger issues. Usey pehli nazar mein apni junior preity se pyar hojata hai and he becms totally obsessessed with her.

Kabir sabko bata deta hai wo uski bandi hai and their love story begins. Lekin unki love story mein brake lag jata hai and Kabir goes on a path of self destruction. Kya hota hai uske baad forms the rest of the plot.

Shahid Kapoor is playing Kabir singh and he is your modern day Devdas. Shahid is brilliant in his character lekin unka character hi itna vahiyat hai ki aap us se relate hi nahi kar patey.

Aise obsessive aur abusive bfs, jo apke liye sab kuch decide karey, wo sirf filmon mein achey lagtey hai real life mein they are toxic and the fact ki film ki leading lady itni weak hai doesn’t help much.

Kabir is a raging alcoholic aur uski life mein jitney bhi log hai unki life mein Kabir ki chinta karney ke alawa kuch hai hi nahi. Log apne honeymoon delay kar rahey hai, career mein peechey chal rahey hai in bhaisahab ko sambhalne ke liye. You really feel sorry for them.

Kiara Advani is playing the lead role and though she is looking fresh as a daisy, unka character itna helpless hai ki aap sochtey hai ki itni padhi likhi ladhki itni helpsess kaise hai.

Gay ki tarah seedhi, garden utha ke bhi nahi chalti, lekin kiss karney mein ya premarital sex karney mein koi dikkat nahi hai. Uske liye sab kuch uske parents decide kartey hai ya uska bf, She has no say in the movie. She is nothing more than a doormat.

Is film mein director sandeep Redyy vanga apko Kabir ki har galti maaf karney ke liye boltey hai bcz he is a genius. Kabir chaku kin ok pe ladhkiyo ko sex karney ke liye bolta hai, khud sharab peekey operation theater mein ata hai lekin ladhkiyo ko lipstick laganey se mana karta hai.

Uske liye ladhkiyon ki consent matter nahi karti aur us se bhi badhi dikkat hai wo audience jo in pe thahakey laga ke hansti hai.

Ye wo films hai jo physical aur mentral harassment ko normal banati hai. It makes abuse normal aur aisi filmon ka nateeja real life mein auraton ko bhugtna padhta hai. Jaise maine pehle kahan ye sab filmon mein hi acha lagta hai.

This film reeks of toxic masculinity and is so mysgonistic that agar aap thodhey bhi samjhdar hai to it will make you feel uncomfortable. Mujhe is film mein gaaliyan, maardhadh aur kuch kisses ke alwa aur kuch dikha nahi.

That said the film does have some brilliant moments aur Shahid aur Kiara ki chemistry achi hai and surprisingly in most of the movie shahid kiara se chotey lag rahey hai. He is looking very young aur unki twacha se unki umar ka pata hi nahi chalta anyway.

Film ke flawed character aur archaic kahani hi iski kamzori nahi hai islki length bhi hai, ye film almost teen ghantey ki hai aur isey ek time ke baad jhelna bahut mushkil ho jata hai. Isey kaam se kam 30-35 minute kaatna chaiye tha.

Music is the highlight of the movie, its very soothing and songs go with narrative. Cinematography achi hai, screenplay aur tight hona chaiye tha. Dialogues bas shahid ke hi paas hai, heroin to mook badhir hai,

Anyway watch this film if you are a shahid kapoor fan. I give it a rating of 2 stars. So that’s all
