Holiday new poster: Does Akshay Kumar remind you of a comic book cover?
by
AR Murugadoss is out with another poster of Holiday starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Govinda. Akki had impressed us with the first poster of the film where he was seen holding balloons in his hand and facing a city which was being burnt to ashes with numerous bomb blasts. His soldier avatar was impressive then, and even in this poster he has the perfect looks to carry off the role of army Captain Viraat Bakshi.
This poster looks like any Doga or Parmanu comic book covers. The cover shows Akshay standing on a pile of debris while there is a blast happening behind him and other officers of the DIA (Defence Intelligence Agency) pointing their guns at various directions. No offence to the comic books because we love them to the core and we are happy that this poster reminded us of them.
Getting back to Akshay's look, he suits the look of a soldier to the T, just like he did in the past with films like Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon and Chalo Dilli. With a tagline 'A Soldier Is Never Off Duty', the poster depicts an exciting and thrilling action crime film.
The film is a remake of the south hit Thuppaki and would be the sixth outing of the lead pair after Rowdy Rathore, Joker, OMG-Oh My God!, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara and Boss. Govinda also has a very crucial role to play in the film. The movie is all slated to hit the theatres on June 6, 2014 and with newer posters coming out one after the other, we can't wait to watch the film. What about you BollywoodLifers?
