Sridevi, who passed away in February, 2018, received her first ever National Award posthumously, for her role in 2017 release Mom, earlier this month and her daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, and husband Boney Kapoor received the award on her behalf.

Post the ceremony, while interacting with the media, Janhvi said, “I think both of us would like to thank the jury for recognizing the hard work, dedication and perseverance that my mother had put in this role. It was very special to her and we are very happy that she is being appreciated. I would also like to thank the Government of India for it.”

When asked if she was missing her mom, Janhvi said, “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Janhvi is all set to mark her Bollywood debut with Dhadak.
