Aloo Puri is Surat's most popular street food item eaten in breakfast. It is a blend of small puris made out of maida and topped with chole potato gravy, onion and sprinkled with spicy and sweet chutney. Aloo Puri was originated out of Rander from a vendor named Khalid bhai and it became an instant hit with the locals. Soon it became the fastest selling snack item in Surat.
