All the ladies of Gokuldham society has planned to go for Ahmedabad to shop chaniya choli for Navratri but due to certain circumstances Anjali could not be a part to accompany all to Ahmedabad but she informs Daya to shop for her too. And again they meet up and finally decide the plan to leave for Ahmedabad and then return back by evening. And with this, sunderlal makes this plan a success and takes all the ladies for a shopping trip to Ahmedabad. Daya and group finally gets a lot of variety and does a lot of shopping after which they hangout in some places in Ahmedabad where a relative of Daya staying there meets up and request her to stay for 1 day and enjoy Navratri here for atleast 1 day. And all the ladies finds the plan more excited and so they agree and plan to move next day to Mumbai. Knowing that all the husbands would get angry for the plan, Daya decides to call up Anjali and inform her about their plan for returning the other day and tells her to inform all about their plan.

The show is inspired from the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' written by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in "Gokuldham Co-operative Society" and covers topical issues which are socially relevant.The show predominantly revolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi) who is an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbour. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Bhavya Gandhi). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises. Lost hopes of being heard by his son pushes Jethalaal' to call his father 'Champaklal' (Amit Bhatt) from the village. This was his great idea of leashing some control over the mischievous Tapu. The opposite happens and the grandfather joins hands with the grandson to make life a roller coaster troublesome ride for Jethalaal.
