This brand new episode of Coke Studio@MTV S4 commences with a song that is dedicated to the ‘International Day of the Girl Child’ that’s earmarked on the 11th of October every year by, the United Nations. ‘I Wanna Fly’ is beautifully sung by Sharmilee Supriyo and Babul Supriyo along with Anupam Roy, who is also the composer of this melodious ode. The lyrics of this track have been written by the living legend Javed Akhtar. Following this is a heartwarming symphony, Jhelum Naina, composed by the extremely talented Jeet Gannguli. Jhelum Naina explores the depths of the eyes and is written by a true poet of our times, Prasoon Joshi. This song is sung by the melodious Babul Supriyo. Granting a glorious finale to this musical episode is ‘Moner Manush’, a folk song by Lalon Fakir. This track is recreated by Anupam Roy, adding contemporary flavours to the traditional composition. This song features Satyaki Banerjee, who has sung the folk parts in his very earthy and honest voice, and the extremely tuneful Babul Supriyo.
