पिछले साल के अंत तक दुनिया भर में करीब पांच करोड़ लोग “आधुनिक गुलामी” के पीड़ित रहे थे, जो या तो बंधुआ मजदूरी में धकेल दिए गए या उनका जबरन विवाह कर दिया गया. यह आंकड़ा पांच साल पहले आई संस्था की पिछली रिपोर्ट से 25 प्रतिशत अधिक आंकी गई है. जबकि जबरन विवाह के मामलों में प्रति व्यक्ति सबसे अधिक संख्या अरब देशों में पाए गए.
By the end of last year, some 50 million people around the world were victims of "modern slavery", either forced into bonded labor or forced into marriage.
