We are introduced to Divya, played by Nakshathra Nagesh. In comes walking a lady with thick glasses, buckteeth and on crutches to a bank, and floors everyone with her arguments in favour of a loan applicant. The bank manager was reluctant in granting the loan. As we fall for her simplicity and a 'different' look, she successfully dupes the Bank Manager into sanctioning the loan, ably supported by Sargunam (Ambika) who also falls for her charm, trusts her pathos-laden words and pities the struggle in her life. It is only later that Sargunam realizes that she has been duped and Divya is a loan consultant in reality who has put on a getup to gather sympathy. Sargunam is surprised to find Divya taking off her cosmetic buckteeth, glasses and throws away the crutch even as she collects her commission from the applicant! The scene ends on a funny note.

Naayagi (Nayagi or Nayaki) is a 2018 Tamil language family soap opera, a serial with daily episode, starring Deivamagal Krishna, Nakshathra Nagesh (earlier played by Vijayalakshmi & Vidya Pradeep), Papri Ghosh, Ambika, Vetri Velan, Meera Krishnan and Suresh Krishnamurthi. It is the story of Anandhi, heir apparent to a business empire but separated at birth from her parents who were killed treacherously by their aide Kalivardhan. The show replaced Deivamagal and is produced by Vikatan Televistas Pvt Ltd. This Tamil daily serial airs on SUN TV, every Monday to Saturday at 8:00 pm. Here is today’s episode.
