Divya has helped Ezhilan tremendously in his preparation for the interview. On the day of the interview, Ezhilan expresses his gratitude and draws parallels between his own life and that of Divya. He retorts that he likes the bold and brave Divya, minus her anger. He also observes that she puts out a bold front as she is vulnerable. Divya says that Ezhilan is what Divya would have have been in case she was born a man. He spells out that he likes this 'amiable' Divya observing that he is a male 'Divya'. The scene marks the first few moments that sow the seeds of love between the beautiful couple - Ezhilan (Deivamagal Krishna) and Divya (Nakshathra Nagesh). In fact, at the interview Ezhilan insists Divya stays on for him till he finishes. Divya readily obliges and gives him the confidence of his success. Revising whatever Divya has taught him, Ezhilan seeks her wishes and they shake hands, with Ezhilan refusing to release the handshake. A romantic moment to cherish for the fans of Ezhilan and Divya!
