Renowned Film Critic and Trade Analyst, Komal Nahta reviews Paresh Rawal's 'Dharam Sankat Mein' that releases this week. 'Dharam Sankat Mein' is a story of a Hindu man Dharampal, who was actually born a Muslim. Thus ensues a series of confusing events that have been written by a team of four writers, with Kundan Shah as their creative consultant. The script's premise doesn't seem too acceptable as the strong subject of Hindus and Muslims haven't been properly tackled. The message that the film has tried to give doesn't impress the audience due to its poor execution. The satire at certain places may impress the audience but all in all they are lack-lustre. In terms of acting, Paresh Rawal and Annu Kapoor are unable to rise above the script. Naseeruddin Shah comes across as a caricature than a real actor which is truly sad to see. Fuwad Khan, who turns director with this film doesn't have command over the medium and hence the film becomes a non-entertaining affair. The film will not garner many positive reviews unfortunately.
