प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की मां हीराबेन का निधन हो गया है. बुधवार को तबीयत खराब होने की वजह से उन्हें बुधवार की सुबह अहमदाबाद के ‘यू एन मेहता इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ कार्डियोलॉजी एंड रिसर्च सेंटर’ में भर्ती कराया गया था. पीएम मोदी ने मां के निधन पर ट्वीट कर लिखा, 'शानदार शताब्दी का ईश्वर चरणों में विराम... मां में मैंने हमेशा उस त्रिमूर्ति की अनुभूति की है, जिसमें एक तपस्वी की यात्रा, निष्काम कर्मयोगी का प्रतीक और मूल्यों के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध जीवन समाहित रहा है. मैं जब उनसे 100वें जन्मदिन पर मिला तो उन्होंने एक बात कही थी, जो हमेशा याद रहती है कि 'बुद्धि से काम लो, पवित्रता से जियो' यानि काम करो बुद्धि से और जीवन जियो शुद्धि से.'

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi, 100, passed away on Friday morning. She was admitted to U N Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad. Taking to his Twitter, PM Modi mourned the death of his mother in a series of tweets. He wrote in Hindi, "A glorious century rests at the feet of God... In Maa I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values."
