दिसंबर में कर्नाटक में अचानक से शुरू हुआ हिजाब विवाद देखते ही देखते बवंडर बनकर देश भर में फैल गया. हिजाब पर कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद 17 हजार छात्राओं ने स्कूल छोड़ दिया. याचिका कर्ताओं की पैरवी कर रहे हुजैफा अहमदी ने कहा कि हिजाब बैन से लड़कियां वापस मदरसा चली जाएंगी.

The hijab controversy, which started suddenly in Karnataka in December, spread across the country as a whirlwind. After the Karnataka High Court's decision on Hijab, 17,000 girl students dropped out of school. Huzaifa Ahmadi, representing the petitioners, said that the hijab ban would lead to girls going back to the madrasa.
