Producer Vishal Bhardwaj, director Abishekh Chaubey and writer Darab farroooqi have come up with a perfect plot for Dedh Ishqiya, that takes this sequel of the much appreciated Ishqiya, one step further.

Khalujan (Naseeruddin Shah) and Babban (Arshad Warsi) are two small-time con men who find themselves in the midst of Begum Para's (madhuri Dixit's) swayamwar.

This swayamvar is filled with a variety of interesting characters, such as Muniya (Huma Qureshi), Begum Para's lady-in-waiting; Jaan Mohammed (Vijay Raaz), an MLA who will do almost anything to win Para over; and Nur Mohammad Italvi (Manoj Pahwa), a poet who has been kidnapped for the sole purpose of feeding Jaan Mohammed some winning poetry.

As the stroy unfolds, with an edgy screenplay and crisp writing, it becomes more and more clear, that things are not what they seem like on the surface.

Madhuri Dixit and Naseeruddin Shah are, unsurprisingly, super performers in the film. Arshad warsi showcases unmatched comic timing and Humar Quereshi too performs impressively. Out of the lot, what stands out is Vijay Raaz's effortlessly outstanding performance as Jaan Mohammed.

All in all, we highly recommend that you step into this wonderful world of nawaabs - real, fake and aspiring as they gear up for the beautiful Begum Para's swayamwar.
