Russia's Luna-25 spacecraft has sent back its first images of the moon from lunar orbit. The images feature the south polar crater Zeeman, located on the far side of the moon. The far side of the moon, also known as the "dark side," is the hemisphere of the moon that is permanently hidden from Earth's view due to synchronous rotation.
