साल 2002 में बिलकीस बानो के सामूहिक बलात्कार और उनके परिवार के लोगों की हत्या के लिए जिन दोषियों को रिहा किया गया है, उनके बारे में हर दिन नए खुलासे हो रहे है। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक इस मामले के दोषियों को रिहाई से पहले 1,000 दिनों से अधिक समय के लिए कभी पैरोल, तो कभी अस्थायी जमानत पर जेल से बहार रहने को मिला था।गुजरात सरकार के हलफनामे से पता चलता है कि उन 11 दोषियों में से एक मितेश भट्ट जब जून 2020 में पैरोल पर था, तो उसके खिलाफ एक महिला ने छेड़छाड़ का मुक़दमा दर्ज कराया था।

According to the report, the convicts in this case were out of jail on parole, sometimes on temporary bail for more than 1,000 days before their release.
