अनंतनाग में 3 अफ़सरों और एक जवान की शहादत का बदला 7 दिन बाद पूरा हो गया। सुरक्षा बलों ने कोकेरनाग के जंगलों में छिपे लश्कर के कमांडर उज़ैर ख़ान को ढूंढकर उसका ख़ात्मा कर दिया। उज़ैर के मारे जाने की पुष्टि जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस के ADGP विजय कुमार ने की और बताया कि मुठभेड़ के बाद एक दूसरे आतंकी की डेडबॉडी भी मिली है। 13 सितंबर को शुरू हुई इस मुठभेड़ में सेना के एक कर्नल, एक मेजर और एक जवान शहीद हुए थे। साथ ही जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस के डिप्टी एसपी ने भी बलिदान दिया था सुरक्षा बलों ने आतंकियों के ख़िलाफ़ जारी ऑपरेशन ख़त्म होने की जानकारी दी, लेकिन ये भी कहा कि जंगल में अब भी जगह जगह बम और ग्रेनेड पड़े हुए हैं, जिनकी तलाशी जारी रहेगी।

An army colonel, a major and a soldier were martyred in this encounter that started on September 13. Along with this, the Deputy SP of Jammu and Kashmir Police had also sacrificed his life. The security forces informed that the ongoing operation against the terrorists has ended, but also said that there are still bombs and grenades lying at various places in the forest, the search for which will continue.
