2018 के एक मामले में माफिया अतीक अहमद के बेटे उमर को लखनऊ में CBI के स्पेशल कोर्ट में पेश किया गया। जबकि अतीक अहमद वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए साबरमती जेल से पेश हुआ। बाप-बेटे की पेशी लखनऊ के कारोबारी मोहित जायसवाल अपहरण कांड मामले में हुई थी। CBI कोर्ट ने इस मामले में अतीक और उसके बेटे उमर पर आरोप तय कर दिए। और अगर दोनों दोषी पाये गए तो उम्र कैद तक की सजा हो सकती है।

In a 2018 case, Umar, son of mafia Atiq Ahmed, was presented in the special CBI court in Lucknow. While Atiq Ahmed appeared from Sabarmati Jail through video conferencing. The father-son duo was produced in the Lucknow businessman Mohit Jaiswal kidnapping case. The CBI court framed charges against Atiq and his son Umar in this case. And if both are found guilty, the punishment can be up to life imprisonment.
