प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने कथित राशन घोटाले के सिलसिले में बोंगांव नगर पालिका के पूर्व अध्यक्ष शंकर आध्या को शनिवार आधी रात को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। मामले में छापेमारी के दौरान ईडी टीम पर हमले के एक दिन बाद पश्चिम बंगाल के उत्तरी 24 परगना जिले में उनके परिसरों की व्यापक तलाशी के बाद टीएमसी नेता की गिरफ्तारी हुई।

The Enforcement Directorate apprehended former Bongaon Municipality Chairman Shankar Adhya on Saturday midnight in connection with an alleged ration scam. The arrest of the TMC leader came after an extensive search of his premises in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, a day subsequent to an ED team being assaulted during raids in the case.
