Akshay Kumar will be receiving the Best Actor Award for his performance in Tinu Suresh Desai’s Rustom, at the 64th National Film Awards. This is the actor’s first National Award and he today posted a video message to thank the jury members, his family and fans.

Along with the video, Akki wrote, “#NationalFilmAwards : Best Actor for Rustom,countless emotions,very hard to express my gratitude right now but still tried,a big THANK YOU.” He also congratulated his Padman co-star Sonam Kapoor, who has won a special mention for her performance in Neerja, through his video.
