A few days after the MNS threatened to not let Ae Dil Ha Mushkil release in theatres as it stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, it seems that filmmaker Karan Johar has some fresh trouble on his plate now.

We have learned that the Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) has decided that no films starring any Pakistani actors will be released in theatres. Nitin Datar, President of the COEAI, said in a statement that keeping in mind the patriotic feeling and the national interest in mind, they have requested all their member exhibitors to refrain from screening movies which have involvement of any Pakistani artists, technicians, directors, music directors, etc. Till the relations between India and Pakistan become normal, no films with Pakistani actors can be released. This decision has already been put in place in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and parts of Karnataka. The decision will be conveyed to other states as well, it seems.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
