Suraiya Jamaal Sheikh (15 June 1929 - 31 January 2004) was a singing actress of the Indian films in the 40's and 50's, popularly known by her first name Suraiya. She was one of those very few songstresses who were bestowed with the title of Mallika-e-Tarannum (Melody Queen) of the subcontinent.
