O.P Nayyar : The Musical Legend. O.P Nayyar, the creator of timeless classic melodies, was a music composer from the golden age of hindi film music who achieved immense success . He started his career as a music composer by composing the background score for the movies, Kaneez released in 1949 and Aasmaan released in 1952. His spirited composition, 'Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawaanon kaa' featuring Dilip Kumar and Ajit in Naya Daur is still popular in India even after fifty years. 'Aao Huzoor Tumko Sitaaromein Le Chale from the movie Kismet is another Opee classic. Many of his compositions sung by Asha Bhosle have a tangy flair and till date are very memorable.
