India gifted a Dornier maritime reconnaissance aircraft to Sri Lanka on Monday, a day before a high-tech Chinese missile and satellite tracking ship docks at the island nation’s strategic Hambantota port.

भारत से करीब 700 मील की दूरी पर स्थित हंबनटोटा बंदरगाह पर चीन के जासूसी जहाज Yuan Wang 5 पहुंच चुका है. ये जहाज 16 से 22 अगस्‍त तक हंबनटोटा में रहेगा. इस जहाज को चीन का सबसे खतरनाक जासूसी जहाज करार दिया गया है. भारत की तरफ से इस पूरे घटनाक्रम पर खासी चिंता जताई जा चुकी है. लेकिन भारत ने फिर भी दोस्ती निभाते हुए श्रीलंकाई नौसेना को एक डोर्नियर समुद्री निगरानी विमान सौंपा.
