Sri Lanka settles India’s credit line from very 1st IMF tranche, State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya told media that $120 million was used to settle the loan taken from India. India was also one of the first countries that helped Sri Lanka to get the IMF bailout by agreeing to restructure its debt with the troubled southern neighbour.

आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ रहे पड़ोसी देश श्रीलंका ने आईएमएफ (IMF)से 330 मिलियन डॉलर का कर्ज हासिल कर लिया है। श्रीलंका ने इस राशि का क्या उपयोग बेहद समझदारी भरा उपयोग किया है। उसने इस कर्ज की पहली किस्त का उपयोग भारत का कर्ज चुकाने के लिए किया है। इससे भारत की नजर में श्रीलंका की साख अवश्य बढ़ेगी।
