A petition filed by the Hindu Sena in court seeks to declare Ajmer Sharif as a Shiva temple and demands permission for Hindus to offer prayers there. मंदिर-मस्जिद के विवादों में अब अजमेर शरीफ दरगाह का नाम भी जुड़ गया है। हिंदू सेना ने कोर्ट में याचिका दायर कर अजमेर शरीफ को शिव मंदिर घोषित करने और हिंदुओं को वहां पूजा करने की इजाजत देने की मांग की है। मुस्लिम पक्ष ने इस पर कड़ा ऐतराज जताते हुए कुछ लोगों पर सांप्रदायिक तनाव फैलाने का आरोप लगाया है। यह मामला अब धार्मिक और ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों के अस्तित्व पर एक नई बहस को जन्म दे सकता है।
