This movie explores father and son story
Engineering graduate but still unemployed Shankar dreams of colorful future for his son admits him to an international school.
Helpless to even pay basic fees for the school he works part time anywhere and everywhere keeping up all the pain to himself just to make sure his son is not aware of any difficulties.
Little appu who studied in Kannada medium school throughout his life had to face lot of hurdles in this new place and is belittled and berated by his teachers and classmates. Everyone treats him to be nothing of no value or as a big 'zero'.
Like father like son, appu faces everything still remains silent and never let's his father know about anything acts like a first ranker for his happiness.
Shankar who has sacrificed his entire life for his son met with an accident and this unprecedented turn of event makes appu feel all the pain Shankar had gone through.
Appu decides to save him and his life.
How the value of any number increases just by a zero on its side.
Zero becoming a hero is the one liner to express this movie.
