Yeh Hai Aashiqui - Episode 88 Synopsis:
Anu, 20, is 6 feet, tall, smart, spunky girl. Wherever she goes, she makes heads turn but also often has to deal with the stigma of being a tall girl who would never get a boy. She is a kind-hearted girl but would not want to be seen with her childhood best friend Ranvir who is 5ft 5 inches, good-looking but very studious and shy. They have lived in the same building since childhood and now graduating from the same college. While Ranvir’s father is extremely rich as he is a plastic surgeon, Anu’s father is a small time dealer in electronics and doesn’t really care for Anu’s dream, he wants her to get married but Anu wants to be a model and for that she wants to gain admission in the top modeling studio in Mumbai.
Anu & Ranvir meet at Ranvir’s house whenever their father’s meet and have a very good bond but would never be seen in public due to the height difference. Ranvir, in fact, loves Anu but never expressed his feelings because for him it is not socially acceptable for a boy to have a relationship with a girl taller than him. She has a photo album of all the good times he spent with her. Though they live in the same building and even upon insistence by Ranvir’s father Jugal, they never go to college together making a new excuse each time.
However, Sameep comes to know of this as he overhears Anu telling this to her friend. He creates confusion between Anu and Ranvir, which leads to a major fight between them. Jugal then partners with Anu’s father and then play a trick on them where they pretend that Anu’s father is hurt in an accident. As Ranvir and Anu take care of him, they confess to each other about mistakes and propose to each other. As they propose to each other, both their families enter clapping.
