Inder Kumar's 100 crore film has been sent for primetime viewership to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and it seems that after the cuts not even ten percent of the film would remain. So will the TV audience have any masti at all?
Grand Masti has been sent for re-certification for a satellite release to the Central Board of film Certification (CBFC). Considering the past history of the CBFC with movies like Jannat, Delhi Belly and The Dirty Picture, it is understood that the same would be faced by the makers of this adult comedy.
The double-entendre loaded movie had grossed more than Rs 100 crore at the box-office and the makers had reserved the satellite rights to be sold later after seeing the film's fate. Now that the film has become a mass hit, the makers are trying to gain the maximum profit out of television rights. It may be a good business for the makers but, as viewers, we wonder as to how much of the innuendo-laden movie would be left after the cuts as every scene has some pun-intended statements and slangs. After all it's a sex-comedy. Would you want to have some Grand Masti at home peeps??
