Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi's upcoming production venture, Fugly, which marks the Bollywood debut of India's boxing champion Vijender Singh and Anil Kapoor's nephew Mohit Marwah was slated to release on May 16.

However, we have learnt that the actor has postponed the release of the film because Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti, starring Jackie Shroff's son, Tiger was also scheduled to release on the same date.

About the date change, Ashwini said "Both Akshay and I share our individual friendship with Sajid and we took the joint decision to inform him of moving out film's release. Both our movies are youth-oriented films and are launching new talent in our industry. So it's important to give both the films the chance they deserve"

it's always smart to avoid box office clashes like these.
