The most talked about Aamir Khan-Katrina starrer of the year Dhoom 3 is all set to hit the theatres on December 20 or the Dhoom Day as the makers call it.

While there are still two more days to go to Dhoom Day, the film may be declared a blockbuster much before the reviews are filed in by the critics.

With about 75 percent of the tickets booked in advance, Dhoom 3 may leave Krrish 3 and Chennai Express behind by setting a new box office record of Rs. 300 crore on the first day itself.

While almost 85 percent of tickets have been sold out in Delhi and Mumbai for the first day, the eager fans are still searching for a seat in the soon filling theatres.

Dhoom 3 will release on about 4,000 screens across the country while 700-750 screens will feature the film in different countries. Now with Dhoom 3 releasing on a total of 4,800 screens, the film may gross around Rs. 240 crore on the first day of its release.

The makers of Dhoom 3 have already sold the television rights of the film at Rs. 75 crore.
