On Day 1 of the second Test between India and Bangladesh, Robi's condition deteriorated due to dehydration, leading to his collapse. While many rumors circulated regarding the cause of his illness, Robi cleared the air by stating that his health condition, aggravated by the intense heat and dehydration, was the reason for his sudden medical emergency.
Robi expressed his gratitude to the Kanpur police for their quick response and assistance. He thanked the officers for escorting him to the hospital and ensuring he received timely treatment. Reports also emerged claiming Robi had been beaten by locals at the stadium, but police officials denied these allegations, attributing his hospitalisation solely to health-related causes.
