उपराष्ट्रपति चुनाव में एनडीए उम्मीदवार जगदीप धनखड़ की जीत हुई है. उन्होंने विपक्ष की उम्मीदवार मार्गरेट अल्वा को भारी मतों से हराया है. उपराष्ट्रपति चुनाव के नतीजे घोषित होने के बाद देश के दिग्गज नेताओं ने जगदीप धनखड़ को बधाई दी है. नतीजे घोषित होने के कुछ देर बाद ही प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ से मुलाकात की और उन्हें जीत की बधाई दी.
