जम्मू, 24 फरवरी 2026: माता वैष्णो देवी के दर्शन करने वाले श्रद्धालुओं, देशभर से आने वाले सैलानियों और जम्मू-कश्मीर के बीच यात्रा करने वाले लोगों के लिए नॉर्दर्न रेलवे ने बड़ी सौगात दी है। अब तक श्री माता वैष्णो देवी कटरा से श्रीनगर के बीच संचालित होने वाली वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन की सेवा का विस्तार कर इसे जम्मू तक बढ़ा दिया गया है। यह नई व्यवस्था 1 मार्च 2026 से लागू होगी। इसको लेकर ज़ी मीडिया ने जम्मू मंडल के वरिष्ठ मंडल वाणिज्य प्रबंधक (DCM) उचित सिंघल से एक्सक्लूसिव बातचीत भी की।

उत्तर रेलवे के जम्मू मंडल ने यात्रियों की बढ़ती मांग और सुविधा को ध्यान में रखते हुए वंदे भारत ट्रेन संख्या 26401/26402 की सेवा को कटरा से बढ़ाकर जम्मू तक करने का फैसला लिया है। इस सेवा विस्तार का मुख्य उद्देश्य जम्मू और कश्मीर के बीच बेहतर रेल कनेक्टिविटी स्थापित करना, पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देना और स्थानीय लोगों को तेज, सुरक्षित और आरामदायक यात्रा सुविधा प्रदान करना है।
Jammu, February 24, 2026: Northern Railway has announced a significant addition to pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi, tourists from across the country, and those traveling within Jammu and Kashmir. The Vande Bharat Express, which currently operates between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar, has been extended to Jammu. This new arrangement will be effective from March 1, 2026. Zee Media spoke exclusively with Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of the Jammu Division, Uchit Singhal, regarding this matter.

Regarding the increasing demand and convenience of passengers, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway has decided to extend the Vande Bharat Express train number 26401/26402 from Katra to Jammu. The primary objective of this service extension is to improve rail connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir, promote tourism, and provide fast, safe, and comfortable travel to local residents.
