उत्तरकाशी के सिलक्यारा सुरंग में मजदूरों के रेस्क्यू पर उस समय बड़ा ब्रेक लग गया था, जब ऑगर मशीन से ड्रिलिंग के दौरान आयर रॉड्स ने उनका रास्ता रोक दिया। इसकी वजह से रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन खत्म होने में अब 12 से 15 घंटे की देरी लगेगी। हालांकि, रेस्क्यू टीम ने इस बाधा को भी पार कर लिया है। कहा जा रहा है कि मजदूरों को बचाने के लिए चलाए जा रहे इस लंबे और मैराथन अभियान में यह आखिरी रोड़ा था। इसके बाद वर्कर्स तक पहुंचने में अब कोई भी बाधा नहीं आनी चाहिए। ऐसे में रेस्क्यू का काम अब जल्द पूरा हो सकता है और मजदूरों को खुली हवा में सांस लेने का मौक आज ही मिल सकता है।
