This Actress To Star Opposite Ranbir Kapoor In ‘Shamshera’

We had reported a few days back that Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen playing a dacoit in YRF film ‘Shamshera’ and we now have details about the actress who has been signed up opposite the ‘Rockstar’.

YRF has roped in Vaani Kapoor, who made her debut with ‘Befikre’ opposite Ranveer Singh, to star opposite Ranbir in ‘Shamshera’. Director Karan Malhotra said, “Vaani plays Ranbir’s love interest in the film and is a very important collaborator in his character’s journey. Her character graph is interlinked to the plot of the film making her a crucial catalyst in our hero’s rebellious mission.”

He added, “Vaani is a perfect fit for the role. She is a fine actor, a fabulous dancer and a gorgeous Hindi film heroine. We wanted someone absolutely fresh to wow audiences on the big screen and she beautifully fits that brief.”

Also starring Sanjay Dutt as the ruthless villain, ‘Shamshera’ is set to go on floors end of this year and the shooting is slated to wrap by mid-2019.
