देश की जेलों में बंद हर 100 कैदियों में लगभग 77 विचाराधीन हैं... मतलब Undertrial हैं.
केवल 23 ही ऐसे हैं जिन्हें अदालत ने मुजरिम माना है.. इन कैदियों में बहुत से ऐसे हैं जिन्हें जमानत मिल चुकी है,
लेकिन जमानतदार नहीं मिलने या हजार या दो हजार रुपये की मामूली रकम भी चुका नहीं पाने के कारण
जेल में सड़ते रहने को मजबूर हैं..। ZEE ग्रुप की इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री का मकसद देश में जेलों के अंदर बढ़ती भीड़ और उससे होने वाली समस्याओं को लेकर ध्यान आकर्षित करना है जैसे कि जुर्माने की मामूली रकम के लिए सैकड़ों कैदी जेलों में बंद हैं। हमारा मकसद ऐसी समस्याओं को सरकार, समाज और जागरुक व्यक्तियों के बीच सार्वजनिक विमर्श का मुद्दा बनाना है।

Out of every 100 prisoners lodged in the jails of the country, about 77 are under trial... means undertrial.
There are only 23 who have been declared guilty by the court.. Among these prisoners there are many who have got bail.
But due to non-availability of guarantors or inability to pay even a meager amount of Rs.1000 or Rs.2000
Forced to rot in jail. This documentary by ZEE Group aims to draw attention to the growing overcrowding inside prisons in the country and the problems it is causing, such as hundreds of prisoners being languished in jails for meager amounts of fines.
