Hi Guys, here is a simple recipe for making tea time cookies with exotic Indian flavours. These cookies taste yum, are not overly sweet and make a great holiday gift.

Ingredients/Method
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cardamom ( cardamom powder made by crushing cardamom seeds)
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp crushed cloves powder( powdered cloves)
1/2 tsp fennel seeds- powdered
Mix butter and sugar in a bowl. Add spices and blend everything together. Add flour and form a smooth dough. Chill for 15-20 mins then take small portions and bake in a preheated oven at 350 F for 8-10 mins. Let cool for 2-3 mins and then enjoy with a nice cup of tea.
