उत्तराखंड के हल्द्वानी (Haldwani News) में गफूर बस्ती (Gafoor Basti) का मुद्दा अब और भी गहराता जा रहा है। शाहीन बाग की तर्ज पर ही यहां महिलाओं और बच्चों को आगे कर दिया गया है। जमकर विरोध प्रदर्शन हो रहा है और सड़कों पर उतर कर लोग सरकार से उन्हें बेघर न करने की मांग कर रहे हैं। प्रशासन का कहना है कि यह जमीन रेलवे की है और इस पर अवैध कब्जा कर गफूर बस्ती को बसाया गया है।

The issue of Gafoor Basti in Haldwani, Uttarakhand is getting deeper. On the lines of Shaheen Bagh, women and children have been pushed forward here. Fierce protests are taking place and people are on the streets demanding the government not to make them homeless. The administration says that this land belongs to the Railways and Gafoor Basti has been settled by illegally occupying it.
