राहुल गांधी को मोदी सरनेम का अपमान करने के मामले में सूरत की सीजेएम कोर्ट ने 2 साल की सज़ा सुनाई थी. इसके बाद उनकी संसद की सदस्यता भी रद्द कर दी गई थी लेकिन सज़ा के एलान के 11 दिन बाद तक भी राहुल गांधी ने इसके खिलाफ कोई अपील नहीं की, जिसके बाद ये सवाल उठने लगे कि राहुल अपील क्यों नहीं कर रहे हैं.
