Compensation on death from COVID, where will the money come from?
The Supreme Court has passed a judgment on the plea seeking ex-gratia compensation of Rs 4 lakh to families of those who have lost a family member due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The amount to be determined by the National Authority under the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The Supreme Court has directed the National Authority to decide the reasonable amount.

देश में कोरोना वायरस से हुए मौतों पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बुधवार को बड़ा फैसला सुनाया और केंद्र सरकार को महामारी से मरने वालों के परिवार को मुआवजा देने का निर्देश दिया. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि हम मुआवजा तय नहीं कर रहे हैं लेकिन राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण छह सप्ताह के भीतर प्रत्येक कोविड पीड़ित को भुगतान की जाने वाली अनुग्रह राशि निर्धारित करने का दिशानिर्देश जारी करे.
