सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने केजरीवाल के मामले पर कहा, केजरीवाल कोई आदतन अपराधी नहीं है । ये अपने आप में असधारण केस है। वो दिल्ली के CM है। हम इस विचार करेगे कि क्या अंतरिम ज़मानत दी जा सकती है।आप इस पर अपनी दलीलें रखें। मेहता - अगर ऐसा होता है तो इसका आप लोगो पर ग़लत असर पड़ेगा।इसका ग़लत संदेश जाएगा कि किसी आरोपी को प्रचार के लिए ज़मानत मिल रही है! सुनवाई के दौरान SC ने अरविंद केजरीवाल के वकील सिंघवी से कहा कि हम नहीं चाहते कि ज़मानत पर रहने के दौरान आप CM के तौर पर अपनी आधिकारिक जिम्मेदारियों का भी निर्वहन करें। इसका बहुत ग़लत असर होगा। कोर्ट ने कहा -हम अंतरिम ज़मानत पर विचार भी इसलिए कर रहे है क्योंकि चुनाव का वक़्त है.पर सवाल पब्लिक हित का है। हम नहीं चाहते कि इस दरम्यान आप सरकार के कामकाज में दखल दे।
