Directions
to make Prawns Theeyal
:
1)Clean and wash prawns.
2)Dry roast grated coconut till it turns golden brown.
3)Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and fenugreek powder.
4)Roast for 2 more minutes in a low flame and remove from fire.
5)After cooling this roasted coconut mixture, grind it into a fine paste.
6)Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard, add curry leaves and dry red chillies.
7)Saute sliced shallots and chopped green chillies till shallots become soft.
8)Add prawns and saute for a while.
9)Add the roasted coconut paste along with tamarind pulp, salt and required quantity of water. 10)Cook the dish in a medium flame till it reaches the required consistency.
:- Remove from fire and serve hot with rice.
