Before entering filmdom, Sonakshi Sinha was a costume designer and has designed costumes for films like Mera Dil Leke Dekho in 2005.

Sona had a dream debut opposite Salman Khan inDabangg (2010). She has worked opposite experienced actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and even with comparatively younger Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

Sonakshi's performance in Looterawas one of the most note-worthy performances in her career, which even got her an offer from Broadway. Currently, the actor is busy promoting Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty with Akshay Kumar. She has also bagged a Tamil film opposite Rajinikanth titled Lingaa, which will mark her Tamil debut.
