Shubh Mangal Mein Dangal, Hungama Play’s latest Hindi original show, is a comedy about a wedding in the era of social distancing that becomes remarkably chaotic when relatives don’t understand the meaning of ‘limited guests only’. The show features an ensemble cast led by popular stars, Nishant Malkhani and Adaa Khan, along with Amit Behl, Manini De and Amita Nangia, in addition to Nancy Gill, Tapasya Agnihotri, Sangeeta Odwani, Neeraj Sood, Samrridhi Chaddha, Ishtiyak Khan, Mithilesh Chaturvedi, Saandesh Nayak and Mellisa Pais

Every Indian family has one staple dream – to get their children married with all the dhoom-dhaam, naach-gaana and shor-sharaba that one can imagine. Vishwanath (Nishant Malkhani) and Mitali’s (Adaa Khan) families are no different. If preparations are to be believed, this could well be the biggest wedding to take place in Bhopal. However, when social distancing norms are imposed, Vishwanath’s family must do everything in its capacity to downsize the wedding and limit the number of guests to 50. But what is a wedding without a few hitches? In spite of all efforts, more than 100 guests land up for the occasion with each having the same explanation, “ghar ke bete ki shaadi ho aur hum naa aayein”. Vishwanath must now act with his family to not only keep the guests hidden to avoid breaking any laws but also deal with the demands of every tauji, buaji, phoophaji and chachiji. Shubh Mangal Mein Dangal is produced by Sixtth Sense Entertainments, written by Rajat Vyas and directed by Sanjiv Chadha. The show will be available to stream on Hungama Play and partner networks from 9th February, 2022.
